Are you considering a career in Real Estate?  If you are, you have some options regarding training.  You can take coursed through a “brick and mortar” school such as TREES (Tennessee Real Estate Education System)   or you can take convenient. online classes.  I highly recommend Real Estate Success Center - it’s who I used to take my Real Estate Pre-licence Class (and will continue to use for my continuing education).  Sheila Hensley, owner and online instructor, gives live, personal service; which you rarely find in online education. 

Once you’ve completed your pre-licensing coursework, you’ll have to apply to sit for the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) PSI Exam.  Then, you’ll have to complete the 30-hour “Course for New Affiliates” before you can apply for your Real Estate License. 

Once you are licensed, you’ll have to find a Real Estate Broker to place your license with.   I really like Exit Realty.  One of the best things about Exit Realty, that no other company has, is their residual program.  Every Exit agent has a sponsor, a mentor of sorts; as an incentive to help that agent be successful the sponsor receives a development bonus equal to 10% of every sale commission for as long as that agent is with Exit, even if they are in another office, another state or another country.  Most agents don’t share their knowledge, which is why so few are very successful.  In fact, statistics show that 20% of all Real Estate agents make 80% of the sales.
